Die Colonnaden – a restful oasis
in the pulse of the city
Comfortably reached by car, bike, and public transport
The Colonnaden are located in the middle of Hamburg's city – in the opera district.
With their magnificent architecture, the world-famous arcades, and their Venetian flair, the Colonnaden embody an Italian flair that would otherwise only be imagined in the surroundings of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
As a magnificent mile of the Hanseatic city Hamburg, the Colonnaden connect the Jungfernstieg on the Binnenalster to the green lung of the city, Planten un Blomen. The well-known Gänsemarkt is located directly adjacently.
Especially in the summer months, the exclusive shopping experience blends with recreation and enjoyment here on the longest summer terrace in Hamburg, since the clocks run much more leisurely here than in the throng of the giant shopping miles.
The U-Bahn and bus stations Gänsemarkt (U2), Stephansplatz (U1) and Jungfernstieg (U-Bahn and S-Bahn) lie within walking distance of the Colonnaden. The parking garage on the Gänsemarkt (Dammtorwall 5/7) is less than five minutes away on foot. Directly in the Colonnaden you will find plenty of bike racks and even a Stadrad (City Bike) station.
